CAT 2026
CAT 2026 Admit Card: Release Date and Download Guide
CAT 2026 admit-card download is scheduled for 4–29 November 2026 according to the information bulletin. As of 7 October, that window has not started. Use the Registered Candidate Login reached through iimcat.ac.in; your own admit card will identify the allotted session, centre and reporting instructions.
Last verified: 7 October 2026. This is an independent preparation guide; applications, admit cards and official notices are available through iimcat.ac.in.
Release date and current status
The official homepage lists November 4 as the start of admit-card download, and the bulletin gives November 4–29 as the download period. The test is scheduled for Sunday, November 29. A scheduled date is different from confirmation that a download link is live.
How to download when the window opens
Open the official CAT website and follow its Registered Candidate Login. Sign in using your registered credentials, locate the admit-card option once enabled, and save the document. Read every page before printing it according to the instructions supplied.
Keep an offline copy accessible and check that the printed text and photograph are legible. Avoid entering candidate credentials on an information or coaching website. This page is a guide and does not issue admit cards.
Details to check immediately
Compare the document with your application record. If something appears inconsistent, contact the official CAT helpdesk promptly with your application reference and a precise description. Do not alter the issued document yourself.
- Candidate name, registration details and photograph.
- Assigned test date, session and reporting time.
- Complete centre address and any location instructions.
- Identification, photograph and print requirements stated on the card.
- Any applicable accommodation instructions.
Plan travel using the allotted centre
The bulletin allows five preferred test cities, but preferences are not an allotment guarantee. Use the venue actually printed on your admit card. Check the route and journey time in advance, allowing for local traffic.
Do not infer a reporting time from the 120-minute test duration. Reporting, entry closure and the test itself are separate milestones; follow your session-specific instructions.
If the download or login does not work
Before November 4, a missing download option is consistent with the published schedule. After the window begins, verify that you are on the official portal, use its recovery options for forgotten credentials and recheck your application status.
For a persistent error, record the time and error message and use the official helpdesk. An application screenshot or payment receipt should not be assumed to replace the issued admit card. A helpdesk enquiry does not guarantee any change in allotment.
Build your final checklist from the issued instructions
Once the card is available, write a short checklist containing the required printout, permitted original identification, any required photograph, reporting time and prohibited items. The exact identification list and centre rules must come from the issued instructions, not an older examination cycle.
Do a final check the evening before the test. Keep the admit card after the examination with your application and score records; it can help resolve later candidate-reference queries.
Sources and verification notes
Official sources were checked on 7 October 2026. Later dated notices take precedence over the original bulletin where a deadline has changed. Study plans and worked examples are editorial guidance, not official exam rules.
